Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System

PureEarth has been offering a complete line of hi-tech home water filters, purifiers, and softeners since 1989 - on the internet since 1996. We're an established, profitable, debt-free company - not an upstart "dot com / dot go" company!

We purchase top-quality NSF® certified components from respected industry-leading suppliers to assemble our reverse osmosis systems. This allows us to sell our reverse osmosis systems at down-to-earth factory-direct prices - UP TO 40% OFF LIST PRICE. There are no "hidden" costs - shipping is FREE on orders of $50 or more (anywhere in continental U.S.), only $6.95 on orders less than $50! For orders to Alaska and Hawaii, call for quote.!

reverse osmosis water purification system - roCertain areas of the country have a high mineral content in their water. When the concentration of these dissolved solids get above 250 mg/l (ppm), the water can take on a bitter taste. Since ordinary filters do not remove minerals from the water, a Reverse Osmosis system is recommended. Reverse Osmosis is a process of forcing tap water through a semi-permeable membrane, leaving dissolved solids and other impurities behind. These impurities are rinsed away, resulting in clean, clear, great tasting water. This same process is used by many of the bottled water companies. Anything made with reverse osmosis water tastes better: coffee, juices, soups, pasta. Ice cubes are clearer and harder and free of "funny taste" (ask for a free ice maker tee fitting when ordering). If you are unsure of your water's mineral content (hardness), call your water department, or call us for a free in-home test strip.

WHY SUCH A HIGH PRODUCTION MEMBRANE? While most reverse osmosis systems use a 10 or 12 gallon per day membrane, we use a 75 or 150 gallon per day. Why? While 12 gallons per day sounds like plenty of water, it's the production time you need to consider: it takes the 12 gallon per day (gpd) membrane over 2 hours to make one gallon of water, while it takes our 75 gpd membrane about 20 minutes to make one gallon and the 150 gpd membrane only 10 minutes (@ 65 psi and 77º F)! Most storage tanks only hold about 2 gallons of water, so you can see that during heavy use times (company) you could be out of water for some time with a slow membrane!

Reverse osmosis systems are not created equal - here’s what makes our 4-stage system a great choice:

  • 75 OR 150 gallon per day GE Osmonics®  TFC encapsulated membrane (NSF-58 certified) - for fastest recovery time and high removal rates: 20 minutes for one gallon at 96% for 75 gpd, 10 minutes per gallon at 93% for 150 gpd (@ 65 psi and 77º F).
  • 1 micron GE Osmonics® sediment prefilter (NSF listed) - removes sediment, rust, silt. Most competitor use a 5 micron.
  • High performance Omnipure® KDF®/carbon block prefilter (NSF listed) - removes chlorine, bad tastes and chemicals. 3 oz. of KDF-55® media is "Aquabonded"® to provide a high capacity (20,000 gallons) that eliminates the need for extra carbon filter stage. The KDF® also helps protect the membrane from bacterial contamination and degradation.
  • Omnipure® coconut shell granular activated carbon post filter (NSF listed) - final polisher.
  • Slim, space-saving 4 gallon (*) NSF listed plastic storage tank - large capacity but compact, no metal to dent, rust or corrode, large capacity. (A 14 gallon storage tank is available for $100 additional - call for details)
  • Automatic shut-off - shuts off water when tank is full, saving water.
  • Long reach LEAD-FREE chrome-plated brass faucet with stainless steel valve (complies with NSF-61 and California Prop. 65 standard).
  • EZ Faucet Connector instead of typical saddle valve - improved flow, no permanent line damage.
  • Choose between a traditional drain saddle or new disposal drain adapter for a trouble-free connection.
  • GA Murdock® NSF® certified quick-connect fittings make installation a snap - rated at 150 psi at 70º
  • GA Murdock® NSF® certified polyethylene tubing - rated at 230 psi at 70º.
  • Quick-connect tee fitting included to connect refrigerator ice-maker.

* - Total tank volume, based on industry-standard rating. Actual capacity of any bladder-type storage tank is less than the rated volume. At 60 psi, it is 60% of total; at 50 psi, it is 50% of total; at 40 psi, it is 40% of total.

Our Reverse Osmosis System installs easily under the sink (see instruction link below). They connect to the cold water line with an "EZ faucet connector" and dispense water through an attractive LEAD-FREE* solid brass faucet. Quick-connect fittings make for fast, easy installation.

SUPER-CHARGE YOUR REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM! Permeate pump for reverse osmosis systemsAdd the Aquatec Permeate Pump to your reverse osmosis system for increased performance. This non-electric device improves water quality, reduces waste water, fills tank faster and more completely, and provides greater tank pressure. Click HERE for more details. Includes specially matched auto-shut-off valve that shuts tank off at 90% of line pressure to replace standard 65% ASO valve. Order it with our reverse osmosis system above and we will install it on your unit! Regularly $99.00, now on special for only $69.00!

NEW!! TURN YOUR REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM INTO A ZERO-WASTE SYSTEM! One of the major objections to a reverse osmosis system, especially in desert regions,  is the waste water. Our new Zero-Waste system routes the brine (or waste) water into your home's hot water supply. The kit includes a booster pump that also will benefit low pressure applications. Benefits: conserve water by recycling waste water, increased membrane production by boosting inlet pressure, faster fill-for storage tank, eliminates the noise created by the air-gap faucet - it is no longer required. Works on any reverse osmosis system. Requires standard 110v outlet. Download the complete installation guide HERE.

$249.00 with FREE SHIPPING (in contiguous U.S.)!

While an reverse osmosis system will produce water at 40 PSI, 60 PSI or above provides optimum water quality and production speed. The 6800 Aquatec Booster Pump is available to increase inlet pressure (includes tank shut-off valve).

Only $129.00.

Optional Aquatec Delivery Pump is available for remote installations (such as basements). Only $129.00.

NOTE: Water hardness of over 10 grains per gallon (170 mg/l) can cause the membrane to fail prematurely - you should consider a water softener as a pretreatment if your water is this hard. Click HERE for more information.
